"Arts de faire" explores forms of resistance through DIY, low-tech, hacktivism, and collective practices, offering a range of artistic, technical, and social experiments. In a global context of excessive technological progress, we need to rethink our practices and slow down.
The project is structured around three themed weekends: taking back control by reclaiming technical tools through hands-on practice and knowledge-sharing; subverting through play by experimenting with playful, alternative, and experimental forms of digital technology; and resisting by questioning systems of control, surveillance, and extraction, and by envisioning ecological, civic, and activist alternatives.
Through workshops, gatherings, and artistic productions, Arts de faire offers a collective and participatory program in the spirit of “building a hut”: a shared space for creation and exchange, where practices, knowledge, and imagination converge to empower people to take action.
With our proposal, we aim to stand up for a practice that is at once ecological, local, and political: a practice of resistance.

1. Supervisions, 2025

Curated by halone for the Octobre Numérique festival in Arles, Supervisions seeks to lift the veil on our own biases and the machine-like visions that surround us daily. Through photographic prints and video installations, the exhibition attempts to highlight the fragility of our connections to reality.

2. Totems d'un monde nouveau, 2024

Totems d'un monde nouveau is an exhibtion curated for the Aix biennial, in partnership with the Chroniques biennial. It took place from october 26 to december 14 2024. Addressing the theme of pleasure and social networks, it consists of an evening of two performances and an exhibition at the Venel Chapel.

3. Le Tarötmatön, 2024

Tarötmatön is an immersive divination artwork, born out of a reflection on the practice of Tarot divination in the digital age. In an era where digital witches and online paganism are commonplace, can we use new technologies as a means of understanding the future and the individual’s relationship to existential questions?

Dans l'intimité d'un jardin is a travelling exhibition that ran from February 22 to April 7, 2023, showcasing the work of student artists and recent graduates, on the theme of intimacy and transmission in the digital age.

halone is a Marseille-based organization dedicated to supporting emerging artists in the field of digital arts. Since 2021, it has been developing spaces for creation, knowledge transfer, and experimentation, where the sharing of knowledge is at the heart of its practices.
Through residencies, exhibitions, and events, halone showcases the emerging local art scene while fostering connections between artists, professionals, and the public. Based in the Aix-Marseille region, the organization develops open, hybrid, and collaborative formats designed as spaces for exchange and creation.
Because creativity isn’t limited to those who produce it, Halone also offers workshops open to everyone, inviting everyone to experiment, create, and make the tools of artistic expression their own.
